Before its introduction, Simple Energy, a Bangalore-based electric vehicle manufacturer, stated its growth and expansion intentions. On the 15th of August, the business will debut its flagship e-scooter, the Simple One, in Bangalore. In phase one, the company planned to start in Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad, followed by other cities. Simple Energy has been hard at work building its state-of-the-art factory in Hosur, Tamilnadu, which will be able to produce 1 million units per year.

Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujrat, and Punjab would be the launch cities, respectively. Simple Energy has also completed the company-owned experience centres in these states' cities in order to be able to scale up quickly and begin deliveries.

“We have been receiving a lot of requests from several places throughout India to hire the vehicle,” Mr Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, stated in response to the announcement. The corporation felt compelled to respond to these requests and begin phase one of the plan. From the day of the launch, we will begin accepting pre-orders from across India. Simple Energy's future is unquestionably cleaner and greener.”

The Simple One will have a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, a claimed range of 240 kilometres in eco mode, a top speed of 100 kilometres per hour, and a 0-50 kilometres per hour acceleration time of 3.6 seconds, according to the product specifications. A mid-drive motor, as well as a replaceable battery and futuristic appearance, are other essential elements. It also has sophisticated features such as a touch screen, integrated navigation, and Bluetooth, among others.

The pricing of the next electric scooter will range from Rs 1,10,000 to Rs 1,20,000. (Ex-showroom). The FAME II policy perks and other discounts granted by various state governments are not included in these rates.
