Redmi Laptops are headed to India, according to Xiaomi India's Manu Kumar Jain. The Redmi laptops, dubbed RedmiBooks, will compete directly with the upcoming Realme Book laptops in India. At the same time, the RedmiBook India launch date has been set for August 3. In India, the business already offers laptops under the Mi brand, and the Redmi brand will make its debut in the laptop market.

The official RedmiBook India launch date was revealed in a tweet announcing the Redmi laptop's debut in the country, and it will take place on August 3.

In comparison to premium Mi Laptops in India, the teaser featured bigger bezels on the top of the display. Redmi already sells laptops in China, and the original RedmiBook 14 or the RedmiBook 16 could arrive in the country in 2019.

In India, the RedmiBook 14 or the newer RedmiBook 16 could be released. A 14-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD panel is expected to be included in the next Redmi laptop in India. It will be available with Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors. There could be certain tweaks, such as using Intel's latest 11th-generation Tiger Lake processor or previous-generation Comet Lake technology.

Two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI port will be available on the RedmiBook. A 3.5mm headphone jack will be included on the Redmi laptop.

In terms of storage and RAM, the laptop will be available in a variety of RAM configurations, up to 8GB. The base model could contain 256GB of flash SSD storage, while the top model could have 512GB. Depending on the storage settings, the CPUs will differ.

The Redmi laptop will come pre-installed with Windows 10 Home, with Windows 11 support coming soon. In terms of design and keyboard, the Redmi laptop will include a full-size island-style backlit keyboard, similar to Apple laptops, as well as a premium metal frame. The RedmiBooks will be small in size and have all-aluminium metal construction.

In India, the RedmiBook is expected to cost around Rs 40,000. While the business already produces Mi Laptops in the same price range, a budget model at roughly Rs 35,000 could be in the works.
