With Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Amazon has announced the release of India's first celebrity voice feature on Alexa. On Echo devices in India, users will be able to add Bachchan's voice to their Alexa experience.

Users may upgrade to Bachchan's voice for an annual fee of Rs 149 by simply hitting the mic icon on the Amazon shopping app. For the time being, this option is only available on Android. Users can even start the transaction by saying, "Alexa, introduce me to Amitabh Bachchan," and Bachchan will answer questions. The wake word ‘Amit ji' will be required.

To hear some fun behind-the-scenes information, users can just say "Amit ji, play songs from Kabhi Kabhi" or "Amit ji, Sholay ke gaane bajaiye" or "Amit ji, give us a humorous storey." “Amit ji, koi kavita sunaiye” or “Amit ji, recite Madhushala” are more options. Additionally, users will be able to personalise birthday wishes with Amitabh Bachchan's voice by just saying "Amit ji, it's my birthday."

According to Amazon, “content handpicked by Mr Bachchan — anecdotes from his life, a selection of poems by his father, tongue twisters, motivational quotes, and more” is included in the celebrity experience.
