This company will connect 1800 Bank of India branches to satellite internet!

The Bank of India (BoI) has chosen Hughes Communications India Private Ltd. (HCIPL), satellite broadband and managed network services provider, to connect 1,800 bank branches with satellite network access across the country.

Hughes to Provide Satellite Connectivity to an Indian Bank

Aryavart Bank, Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank (MPGB), Vidharbha Konkan Gramin Bank (VKGB), and rural Bank of India branches in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra will also get satellite internet as part of the plan.

The JUPITER System from Hughes will be used to power the network.
The JUPITER System is the world's most widely utilised ground network platform. The Hughes JUPITER System, which includes routers, gateways, and network management, will power the network, which will use capacity on the GSAT11 and NSS12 satellites.

Hughes Network Systems LLC's majority-owned subsidiary was chosen by Nayara Energy, a private-sector oil retailer, to build, integrate, and operate a satellite network solution across 3,500 of its retail shops earlier this month.
