Mukesh Ambani announced the debut of their newest product, the ‘JioPhone Next,' during Reliance's 44th Annual General Meeting, which has the potential to render India 2G-free. The project, which is being carried out in conjunction with Google, aims to create a low-cost smartphone designed specifically for India.
According to available information, a manufacturing site for the Google-Jio Smartphone could be established in Dholera, Gujarat (which has been designated as India's first Smart City). In the Dholera Special Investment Region, a new manufacturing plant for the ‘JioPhone Next' could be built (Dholera SIR). The Gujarat government has been wooing businesses from all over the world to Dholera, which is on its path to becoming India's first Smart City.
Dholera is already being promoted by the Gujarat government as a smart city project to a number of international corporations. According to the information available, Google representatives visited Gujarat earlier this year to look at potential locations for a factory. The Jio Phone Next will be available in India on Ganesh Chaturthi this year, according to Mukesh Ambani, who revealed it at the 44th Annual General Meeting. Because the deadline is approaching, it's possible that additional units will be established in other parts of India.
The ‘JioPhone Next': A Reliance and Google Partnership:
The 'JioPhone Next' is one among the projects funded by Google's earlier Rs 33,000 crore investment in Jio. The phone's main selling points, according to the firms, are its low cost and Google-designed operating system.
Dholera, Gujarat's upcoming greenfield city
Dholera metropolis will cover 920 square kilometres and include 22 communities. The city is located around 100 kilometres from Ahmedabad, in the heart of Gujarat's major industrial cities of Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar.
The city will be connected to Gujarat's capital by a six-lane expressway. It is also planned that the metro rail network to be used to provide seamless connectivity. The airport's construction work has already begun. The airport is being built by Dholera International Airport Company Limited (DIACL).
